Homemade preserves, strawberry and rhubarb jam with ginger
Strawberries and rhubarb are available at the same time, which is probably why they are a natural combination that is often found in recipes. Strawberry rhubarb jam is a classic, but when we add a piece of grated ginger, we get a unique jam.

INGREDIENTS
- 1 kg of rhubarb (stems with skin)
- 1 kg of strawberries
- 15 g of grated fresh ginger
- juice of 1 lemon li
- 350 g of sugar (it can be more, depending on the sweetness of the strawberries)
PERFORMANCE
- Wash the strawberries, stalk them and cut them into pieces. Wash the rhubarb stalks, do not peel them, cut them into cubes.
- Put chopped strawberries and rhubarb into a large pot, add grated ginger, lemon juice and sugar.
- Simmer, stirring frequently for several hours. When the jam thickens, pour it hot into the scalded jars, screw it on and pasteurize.
