Blended strawberries, watermelon, honey, orange flower water, lime, ginger, mint, cardamom... cocktail or soup?
This is a very universal recipe. Based on these ingredients, we can prepare refreshing drinks or a delicious summer cold soup.
Blended strawberries with watermelon and toppings, a few ice cubes and we get a wonderful and refreshing cocktail.
A bit of alcohol, a few drops of hot chili oil and a cocktail into a drink.
On very hot days, we can prepare cold soup, which is a refreshing fruit soup, on the basis of a cocktail. The fruit cooler goes well with pasta, crushed feta cheese, plain yogurt, basil or thyme, a pinch of chili or pepper.
We can also mix the whole thing with natural yoghurt, we get drinkable fruit yoghurt.
Strawberries and watermelon, a few toppings and four different options which do you choose? For me today a refreshing cocktail with lots of ice!
1/2 kg of strawberries
1/2 kg of watermelon pulp (weight without skin)
1 teaspoon of fresh ginger
1 tablespoon of honey
1 tablespoon of orange blossom water
a few mint leaves
juice from half a lime
a pinch of cardamom
Cut off a piece of watermelon, remove the seeds and cut out the flesh. Wash the strawberries, dry them and destalk them. Peel the ginger and grate it.
Mix pieces of watermelon, strawberries and other additives for a smooth mousse in a food processor or a jug blender. We serve it right away with lots of ice cubes. We can keep the rest in the refrigerator, without ice, preferably as short as possible. I keep this cocktail for about 24 hours.
If you want to prepare cold soup based on this recipe, I recommend serving it with rice noodles, crushed feta cheese, a pinch of chili flakes and drizzle with olive oil. Orange flower water, cardamom, rice noodles, chili flakes, good olive oil can be bought in larger stores or online, e.g. at Cuisines of the world . I recommend a very hot chili oil.
