The easiest way to prepare cauliflower is to cook it and sprinkle it with browned butter breadcrumbs. Delicious, but cauliflower can also be baked in the oven. It is a quick way that requires little effort to prepare.
I usually bake white cauliflower, but this time it is colorful in my kitchen - purple, green, yellow and white. Unfortunately, it lost some of its beauty after baking and it is not so colorful anymore... luckily it is very tasty.
500 g of cauliflower
1 big red onion
1 clove of garlic
1/2 fresh chili pepper
1/2 teaspoon ground Roman cumin
3 tablespoons of olive oil
1 tablespoon of pumpkin seeds
Pumpkin seeds are to be roasted in a dry frying pan.
Divide the cauliflower into florets and put them in a baking tray lined with baking paper. Peel the onion and cut it into larger pieces, cut the peeled garlic clove into thin slices. Clean the chili pepper from seeds and cut into thin strips. Cover the cauliflower with the onion, garlic and chili. Season it with salt, pepper and Roman cumin. Sprinkle with olive oil and cover with aluminum foil.
Preheat the oven to 200 ° C. Put the cauliflower in a preheated oven and bake it for about 30 - 40 minutes. 5 minutes before the end of baking, remove the aluminum foil.
Finally, sprinkle with pumpkin seeds.
