Pan-fried shrimps and asparagus - a delicious and quick dish in an oriental style

Short-fried prawns with green asparagus are a tasty spring dish with a sweet spicy oriental flavor.

It is an exceptionally quick dish to prepare. All you need to do is prepare all the ingredients in advance, because the frying process itself is instant, 10-15 minutes and the dish is ready!

Fried shrimps with asparagus can be served with rice, rice noodles or bread.


  • 300 g peeled and cleaned raw prawns (headless)
  • 250 g green asparagus
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 2 shallots 1 small chili pepper
  • a bunch of chives
  • a handful of fresh coriander
  • 3 tablespoons of oil
  • 1 tablespoon of lime juice < / li>
  • pepper


  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 3 tablespoons rice wine or white wine
  • 1 teaspoon fish sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 50 ml water


We prepare the sauce. In a bowl, mix all the ingredients for the sauce and set aside.

Wash the asparagus, break off the woody ends and dry with a paper towel. Cut the asparagus diagonally into pieces about 3 cm long.

Peel the garlic and shallots, remove the seeds from the chili. Cut the garlic into thin slices, cut the shallots and chilli into rings. Cut the chives diagonally into 2 cm pieces. Remove the leaves from the coriander and chop the stalks finely.

Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a frying pan and fry the prawns in batches on medium heat, one minute on each side. We take it from the pan and put it aside.

Add the remaining oil and fry the asparagus for 2-3 minutes, stirring. Add chopped garlic, shallots and chili and continue to fry for about 2 minutes. Pour the previously prepared mixture over the sauce. Fry everything for 2 - 3 minutes, stirring. Add the prawns and chopped coriander stalks and fry for about 2 minutes. Season with pepper and lime juice to taste and remove from heat.

Serve the shrimps with asparagus hot sprinkled with coriander leaves and chopped chives.
