Chokeberry and pear jam - chokeberry and pear a perfect duo
Fresh aronia berries contain tannins that give the fruit a tart taste. For this reason, chokeberry is rarely used for direct consumption.
How to get rid of this unpleasant bitterness from chokeberry fruit? Just freeze them before processing.

To prepare the jam, freeze the aronia fruits for 24 hours, then add them to sugar syrup, not defrosted, and cook. Aronia jam with pears is unique in taste, and the addition of lemon juice emphasizes its taste.
Jam can be served with breakfast rolls, pancakes, but also goes well with fried or grilled cheese instead of cranberry jam.
